The sponsorship includes a customised pitch banner and is part of Datalec’s continued investment in the Republic of Ireland through community engagements, demonstrating its commitment to extending geographical presence. “We are thrilled to be one of many Naas RFC Club sponsors,” says Alan Kavanagh, Operations Manager at DPI in Ireland. “I have been involved in the Naas Rugby Club on a personal level for many years and having trained the Mini’s and Youths for over 11 years, I’m excited that DPI has made a commitment to support our club and further engage in this community.”
Naas Rugby Club was founded in 1922 and numbers almost 1,000 members, welcoming everyone to its community. The sports club has its roots in equality and offers a space for families to enjoy top class sport events in the company of friends. The club is dedicated to being fully inclusive with sections specifically for Men & Women, minis, youth boys and girls. There is also an additional needs section “Naas Vipers” whom Naas are also very proud of. There is a Senior team that competes in The All Ireland League, the highest level of competitive Rugby in Ireland.
The Club has produced countless players over the years. Geordan Murphy, Jamie Heaslip and Tadgh Beirne are just a few of the international sportsman from Naas that have represented both their country and the British & Irish Lions. The Club will soon be appointing a new President, for the first time this position will be held by a Woman, Paula Laffan. Alan Kavanagh, Paula Laffan and existing President Paul Stapleton all attended a recent photo shoot to promote Datalec’s sponsorship.
