- Senior Leadership Team
Danny is the founder and Group Director of Datalec Precision Installations. A qualified Electrical Engineer, Danny has over 25 years’ experience within the construction and Data Centre industry working for well-respected M&E contractors such as Emcor, Phoenix and PIP Electrical. Early in his career Danny worked overseeing cable installations on a number of projects which led to him managing Data Centre fit-outs. Since branching out and setting up Datalec in 2012, the company has grown year on year to where it is today working for some of the worlds’ largest cloud providers and is expanding rapidly across the US, Europe and the Middle East. Danny has strong leadership skills and his focus on detail and always delivering to exceed expectations drives the Datalec culture to maintain their reputation as leaders in their field.
Lee is COO for Datalec Precision Installations. He is a Prince2 practitioner and a member of association of project management. Lee began his career in the Armed Forces and spent over a year on active duty during which he was awarded a Major General’s Commendation as well as receiving a General Service Medal for the tour. Shortly after leaving the Services, an opportunity opened to establish a career in the Structured Cabling Industry. Progressing from an installation engineer through to project management, and then fulfilling a senior management role responsible for an operations business unit, implementing IT Infrastructure, networks and connectivity throughout the UK and Europe as part of a large organisation. During the last 20 years Lee has been fortunate enough to work on many interesting projects, most notably the Kings Cross Comms Regeneration, BBC Broadcasting House and as Programme Lead for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games where he was ultimately responsible for providing IT connectivity, satellite infrastructure and support services for all 21 off Olympic park venues across the UK.
Stuart is a Group Director of Datalec Precision Installations. Following an early passion for motorcycles, Stuart realised he could continue this as a hobby and decided to pursue an education in engineering. Stuart was introduced to electrical engineering through a friend he met playing football and started looking after multiservice projects in 2005. He has been lucky enough to work in several different sectors including healthcare, residential, aviation, network rail, London underground and education. Stuart joined Datalec in 2014 where he is passionate about ‘self-delivery’ to ensure his clients always get the best level of service from his team.
- Senior Management Team (UK, EMEA & US)
Glenn is the Operations Director for the Electronic Security division of DPI. Glenn is a Prince 2 Practitioner and has a diploma in Security Risk. He has over 30 years of experience, having worked in the Electronic Security industry for all his working life. Starting out as an Apprentice Installation Engineer, he has worked through almost every role within the industry, up to Operations Director, a position he holds today. Over the last 10 years as both a Project Manager and Director, he has overseen and delivered projects for financial and data centre clients across the globe. Glenn is hugely passionate about culture and work ethic. Building teams that work together to provide the very best delivery for his clients.
Matt is a focussed, dynamic, and driven individual responsible for delivering fast track and technically complex MEP projects in critical environment with a focus on operational facilities. Matt has excellent communication and client liaison skills with a very good knowledge of health and safety. He is responsible for supporting the customer and his teams ensuring that safe working practices, quality and core values of DPI are implemented. Matt is an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of successful management of sites for various high-profile clients. He is a self-motivated individual with a highly professional approach with the ability to deliver results.
Tommy leads our Americas business and has spent his entire career working in the built environment. Tommy is an electrician by trade having worked in critical environment projects and operations in financial services, medical and data centres. He has worked in global positions, managing large client accounts in his previous employments and more recently, moved to the United States to lead a large corporate outsourcing business. Tommy has a real passion for developing people and teams to their maximum potential.
Will trained as a Building Services QS and has been in the industry for over 35 years, split equally between MEP Subcontractors and Main Contractors. Prior to joining Datalec in January 2023, where he is responsible for looking after Major Projects, he was the London Regional MEP Preconstruction Commercial Manager, for Sir Robert McAlpine. During his career, Will has worked on a number of prestigious developments including The New British Library, University of Herts, The International Broadcast and Main Press Centres for the 2012 London Olympics and Battersea Power Station Phase 1.
Yuriy heads up Datalec’s Aisle Containment and Caging Solutions division. He is an experienced director with a proven track record of working in the ICT and Telecoms Physical Security industry for over 20 years. Yuriy’s experience includes manufacturing, project management, logistics, product design, and development. He is also highly adept in customer relationship management. Yuriy plays a key role in supporting COLO and Hyperscale whitespace fit-outs, lending his extensive expertise in Physical Security and Aisle Containment solutions.
- Connectivity
James, CDCDP®, joined Datalec in 2019 and has over two decades of industry experience, with the past four years working solely in the data centre environment. James is a result driven and a conscientious problem solver, and as Head of Connectivity at Datalec he is responsible for all aspects of this department, including managing his continually growing team, both domestically and internationally. Past project experience includes the Olympic site in the Lee Valley White Water Centre and a two-year upgrade at the historic London Kings Cross Railway Station.
Lawrence is an experienced professional with a strong background in management. With a passion for efficiency and organization, Lawrence has excelled in various management roles throughout his career. With a keen eye for detail and a talent for developing strategies that optimize productivity and streamline processes, Lawrence’s expertise lies in overseeing teams, setting goals, and ensuring smooth operations. His ability to communicate effectively and motivate others has led to successful outcomes in both small and large-scale projects. Lawrence’s dedication to continuous improvement and his natural leadership skills makes him valuable asset in any professional setting.
With over 15 years of project management experience, James McKay has a proven track record of meeting high expectations, managing multiple tasks and successfully designing and delivering projects on schedule. His professional qualifications and experience combine to create a successful project design manager. His strong organisational and communication skills have been a key component of his success as a project design manager. He works well independently and as part of a team to ensure all expectations are met and exceeded. His experience in working with diverse stakeholders, managing multiple projects, and leading various teams have made me an effective project design manager. He understands the importance of balancing quality and budget during a project and hold excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Data Centre Consulting
Tom has over 20 years’ experience of project and construction management in the mission critical sector. He is a focussed Technical Project Manager and Electrical Engineer who through experience has continued to develop his can-do approach to management and “outside the box” thinking to problem solving. He excels as a Project Manager within technically challenging facilities and integrates very well into a team to meet the successful delivery goals of any project. Tom has developed a strong focus on the mission critical sector through his keen interest in highly complex and integrated buildings. He also has extensive experience delivering highly resilient hyperscale facilities across the UK, Europe and Asia.
- Managed Services
Angela is a highly experienced Operations Manager who has been in the technical cleaning sector for over 25 years. She has overseen large teams spanning the whole of the UK, and more recently due to Technivo’s growth, in Europe too. Angela joined the company in 2015 and has been a mainstay ever since; she is integral to the delivery and fulfilment of clients’ high-level requirements.
Danny is one of our Service managers at Datalec. He has worked within the Data Centre industry since he began his career in 2013, joining us as an electrical apprentice and working his way up to his current role. This experience has given him a broad knowledge and thorough understaning of all aspects within.
James, CDCDP®, is a results-driven IT professional with a passion for optimising data centre operations and infrastructure. With a proven track record of implementing cutting-edge technologies, James has successfully led numerous complex projects from concept to completion, ensuring seamless integration and maximum efficiency. His expertise lies in data centre design, planning, and management, bolstered by industry-leading certifications. James’ relentless commitment to excellence has earned him a reputation as a strategic thinker and collaborative leader, consistently delivering impactful solutions that exceed expectations. A dedicated problem-solver, he continues to drive innovation in the data centre landscape, shaping the future of IT infrastructure.
Martin Holding
On-site Manager (Technivo)
Martin is the General Manager of Technivo Ltd (A DPI Business). He is responsible for maintaining and improving the efficiency and quality of the services Technivo provides, he continues to work closely with his on site teams. Very much a ‘people person’, Martin also liaises with the clients to ensure satisfaction with the job and to answer any questions. A meticulous and methodical approach to all tasks throughout his working life makes Martin eminently qualified for his role and he’s looking forward to contributing further to the success of the business.
Michael is the diligent and dedicated Service Manager at Datalec Precision Installations, entrusted with overseeing the seamless operations of their Managed Services. His expertise lies in efficiently managing and coordinating service contracts, ensuring optimal performance for clients. With an unwavering passion for his role, Michael is always willing to lend a helping hand to his colleagues and clients alike, going the extra mile to address any concerns. He exudes enthusiasm and determination, making him an indispensable asset to the team. Michael’s commitment to excellence and his proactive approach make him a respected and admired individual within the business.
Nick Powis
Director (Technivo UK & EMEA)
Nick Powis founded Technivo in 2010 and the business quickly became an established and highly reputable service provider in the world of critical IT environments technical cleaning throughout the UK and EU. DPI acquired the operation in 2022 after a long and successful partnership, and they now form a valued part of their managed services division.
- Manufacturing (ACCS)
Brian was part of the three man team that formed Datalec’s Aisle Containment and Caging Solutions Division, starting out as Production Manager. With just short of 45 year’s of experience in manufacturing and construction, Brian has gone full circle to be back in metal fabrication from where he started his career. Working within many different sectors, mainly telecommunications, but was fortunate enough to work on the Wembley Stadium Project. Recently moving roles to Quality & Procurement Manager, Brian strives for excellence, for total customer satisfaction.
Lukasz is an Engineering and R&D Manager at Datalec. Originally from Poland he has an MA in Spatial Management from Adam Mickiewicz University and worked in project management for multiple companies in Poland before moving to the UK in 2012. He has worked in the Data Centre industry for over 6 years on multiple global projects with past clients including Amazon.
Yuriy heads up Datalec’s Aisle Containment and Caging Solutions division. He is an experienced director with a proven track record of working in the ICT and Telecoms Physical Security industry for over 20 years. Yuriy’s experience includes manufacturing, project management, logistics, product design, and development. He is also highly adept in customer relationship management. - Project Delivery
Alan is our Country Manager in Ireland and has been working in the construction sector for over 35 years, having completed an electrical apprenticeship with Mercury Engineering and attended Kevin Street College as an Electrical Apprentice on block release before working through the ranks from electrical chargehand to Site Supervisor, Site Manager, Project Manager through to Operations Manager. Alan has taken key skills from each position to develop a well-rounded electrical knowledge and a strong leadership approach.
Alan is an electrically biased Contracts Manager with experience in several sectors of construction. He actively visits site ‘on the ground’ to ensure communication from design to installation is correct. Alan has extensive practical experience in electrical distribution, building and public health services, project design, drawing process, procurement of plant, overseeing installation and supervising commissioning, through to project handover. Review and coordination of construction drawings to ensure works can proceed on site with no clashes. He is always proactive with snagging and defects to ensure clean handover of projects. Alan has sound understanding of the running of projects from beginning to end and the dynamics between the various parties involved.
Ash’ has been working in the construction sector for 20 years, having served an electrical apprenticeship and then working through the ranks from electrical chargehand to Site Supervisor, Site Manager, Project Manager to Project Director. He has have taken key skills from each position to develop a well-rounded electrical knowledge and a strong leadership approach. Over the many projects he has been involved with through the years, a fundamental core value Ash prides himself on is that understanding the client’s needs through all aspects of their project is vital. He uses this as the cornerstone for delivering something everyone can be proud of, going above and beyond expectation to deliver outstanding work across the board.
‘Joe’ is an accomplished M&E Project Director and has successfully delivered multiple contracts. He has managed a wide range of installation works including MV installations, installation and maintenance of explosion proof equipment, complex LV systems, fire alarm systems, nurse-call systems, large building management systems, generators, UPS systems, DRUPS, data centre ICT commissioning and commissioning of large commercial and pharma projects. Joe is adept at meeting deadlines and budgets, organisation of labour, controlling quality and ensuring clients goals are achieved. A fundamental core value Joe prides himself on is that understanding the client’s needs through all aspects of their project.
Rob is a highly experienced Programme and Resource Manager who has delivered several projects for Datalec Precision Installations to date including high end residential developments, commercial office fit-outs and data centre fit-outs across Europe. He has strong site supervision skills with internal labour to ensure programme delivery for clients. Rob can manage all different aspects of labour and plan short term activities efficiently to ensure workforce is always working in the correct direction for each other.
Sean is the UAE Projects Director for Datalec Precision Installations. He is responsible for the UAE with a wider leadership role for our projects in the Middle East region. He is an experienced Data Centre professional with a wealth of regional knowledge in the execution of major projects and leadership of multidisciplinary teams within both Contractor and Consultancy roles. Sean has an MBA from Nottingham Business School, a degree in Engineering and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers.
Tom is experienced in electrical compliance and has been involved in the testing, inspection, and commissioning of a large number of projects for Datalec Precision Installations. He has implemented processes and commissioning strategies to help evolve the quality and commissioning process and stay up to date with clients requirements. Tom is our Authorising Engineer for Datalec and is responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s Electrical Safety Rules and Procedures.
Scott has over 35 years’ experience in the construction industry, (the last few years dedicated to the Data Centre Sector), from specialist subcontractors and consultants to leading main contractors and hybrid PMO teams. Specialising in MEP Services, he is fully conversant in all aspects of multi-service contract delivery and Technical Project Management, inc: pre-acquisition due diligence, PMO leadership, strategic planning, design management, value engineering, procurement strategy, construction methodology, cost control and management, testing, commissioning, and collaborative handover.
- Business Development, Strategic Accounts, Marketing
Paul is Head of Business Development and has in the past led data centre operations for Navisite in the UK and US, while also being associated with Time Warner Cable and Charter Communications. Drawing from over a decade of operational expertise and a strong customer-centric approach, Paul now drives Datalec Precision Installations towards further growth and success.
As a seasoned Marketing Manager with over 20 years of experience, Sarah brings a passion for creativity and a results-driven approach to every project. Quick thinking, highly commercial, driven, and adaptable with strong time management abilities, Sarah’s expertise lies in crafting marketing campaigns that increase brand visibility and drive business growth. With highly developed communication skills, Sarah values collaboration and has a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, fostering creativity and innovation. She has successfully executed a wide range of marketing initiatives, from digital and social media strategies to traditional PR, advertising, and event management. She is dedicated to data-driven decision-making allowing for continuous improvement ensuring budget optimisation.
Tim is Head of Strategic Accounts and manages supplier partners and is lead for the ESG task group. Tim started his working career in the Royal Navy where he received his introduction to Supply Chain. Upon leaving the Royal Navy he spent two and a half years in Saudi Arabia with British Aerospace and the Saudi Air Force as a Inventory & Materials Specialist. Returning to the UK he entered the IT sector taking up Account Management roles in distribution where he learnt more about industry Supply Chain and client needs. Working in global companies he firmly understands the challenges Supply Chain faces today having recently returned from a number of years in Asia.
- Commercial, Finance & Legal
Daniel is a senior quantity surveyor with over 13 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and data centre contracts in the commercial and residential sectors, including U.S. Airforce bases. Dan is a driven individual with expertise in negotiation and communication, striving to make his next company a greater success through existing industry links, working strategically to expand and improve procedures and practices. Dan is known for taking a professional approach to the financial management of projects, adept at vendor negotiations specialising in construction projects. Within Daniels career to date, he has operated as a quantity surveyor on some notable projects, with one of them being the James Paget Hospital, Surgical Units (M&E).
Jake is the Head of Commercial for the Datalec Group, and is an experienced quantity surveyor with responsibility for all areas of commercial management. He has a degree in Quantity Surveying and over 10 years’ experience working in construction before moving into the Data Centre industry. Jake originally met Datalec as a client on the Royal Opera House – Open Up Project. Since then he has worked with Datalec on key client accounts as Head of Commercial.
Joanne is a self-motivated accounting professional, with over 30 years’ experience in all aspects of finance and accounting. AAT, ATT and CIMA qualified with extensive understanding in people management, she is proactive, thorough with a keen eye for detail. With a strong ability to work under pressure she is adept at using her initiative to face challenges and solve problems.
Raymond is a Senior Quantity Surveyor for Datalec Precision Installations. He brings over 20 years Construction experience in all aspects of Commercial Management, Controls, Reporting and in particular MEP Building Services understanding. He has had the privilege of working on various technically complex projects ranging from Airports, Police Stations, Healthcare Laboratories, multiple Development Schemes, fit-out and a mega Casino. He will be responsible for delivering some of Datalec Precision Installations Major Projects, along with input into the continued growth and success of the business.
- Health & Safety
Marc oversees, directs and manages H&S for Datalec Power Installations and is a dedicated and disciplined individual with over 35+ years’ experience in the construction industry with electrical bias, the last 20+ years in Construction/ Building Services/ Data Hall Occupational Health and Safety. Self-motivated and confident he has the ability to grasp information quickly along with excellent written and oral communication skills and proficiency. He is able to liaise with all levels of staff from site personnel to board level using ‘situation selection’ techniques and works independently or manages both immediate and diverse teams. Marc is an extremely hard working ‘go getter’ with a proven career and educational development record.
Ketan is a highly experienced chartered health and safety professional with a cradle to grave knowledge of all stages of the construction delivery process in Principal Contractor roles and Mechanical & Electrical Environments. He has an in-depth understanding of the demands of programme and project health and safety management. A positive can-do attitude and determination to work collaboratively with all relevant stakeholders to achieve the highest standards of health and safety to give clients total confidence that projects shall be completed safely with no compromise on quality or programme. Ketan has a proactive approach to health and safety management and problem solving and am keen on seeking and promoting new and effective management tools and systems to support management efficiency and reduce bureaucracy while delivering the highest standards of health and safety. Ketan is able to provide strategic and practical on-site solutions, educating and influencing others and leading the drive for continued performance improvement.
John is the Health and Safety Manager in Ireland. He is a qualified Mental Health First Aider and a qualified Manual Handling Instructor. As Health and Safety Manager he carries out regular H&S audits and assembles H&S weekly and monthly meetings with client management. He provides advice and assistance and helps resolve issues that may arise. His other responsibilities include managing and maintaining record keeping, reporting to management and monitoring site supervisors ensuring all H+S weekly returns / SPA Sheets, MEWPS, check sheets GA1 + GA3 and RAMS paperwork is up to date and in order.
- Human Resources
Claire has 20 years of experience in people management. She began her career in retail as an entry-level employee and progressed to middle management positions in operational and central function roles. During this time, she has coached and supported line managers and managed employee relations and employee lifecycle. Claire has also driven business performance through SME roles in compliance and wellbeing. To further broaden her knowledge of employment law and strengthen her continuous professional development, she completed CIPD Level 5 in 2023.
With more than 20 years’ experience, Jane has delivered expert work in every aspect of HR. From advice on recruitment through to redundancy, policies, procedures and employment law. Having worked at senior management and Board level, Jane’s expertise has led to successful outcomes in mergers, management buyouts, acquisitions, and divesting parts of businesses. Jane has a speciality in coaching and mentoring managers, working together to improve their performance and skills. She presents regularly at the Cranfield School of Management.
- Sales Engineering, Design Management
Sean has worked in the HVAC industry for close to 20 years, having started his career by completing a plumbing & heating apprenticeship. After eight years on the tools, he entered the world of commercial HVAC sales, where he progressed to technical specification manager. During this time, Sean worked for various heating plant manufacturers, including Ariston, Elco Heating Solutions, ACV, Baxi Heating (commercial) and SPC. He consistently exceeded sales targets and delivered tailored solutions to M&E consultants and contractors while building and maintaining long-lasting relationships. Having always had a passion for sustainability, providing energy-efficient solutions and client satisfaction, Sean is looking to apply this to his role at Datalec, which started in January 2024.
Kayleigh has over 18 years’ experience in the telecoms and data centre sectors with focus on planning, design and project management across both white and grey space projects. She has designed and delivered new data centres in complex and challenging buildings and has a keen approach towards problem solving. In recent years Kayleigh has led large successful bids across EMEA, APAC & NASA for high profile clients and enjoys keeping abreast of the latest technologies and innovations within the industry. Kayleigh holds a Certified Data Centre Design Professional (CDCDP) accreditation.
Alex is an electrical biased Project Manager, with over 30 years experience within the construction industry, covering many sectors, with the last nine years in the data centre sector. During this period Alex undertook delivery of electrical and specialist packages on a number of hyperscale and major projects throughout Europe. Since 2021 Alex decided to redirect his skills and take a slight change in his career path by joining the engineering sales division, during this time his experience and knowledge from both general construction and the data centre sector has been key to the building and development of the team.
Joe O’Neill has over 30 years’ experience in the Data communications industry, in both the design and implementation fields.
He has a wealth of experience in the design process from project RFQ stage through to completion and has extensive Project management experience ranging from Data Centre Grey & White space Fit-Outs to Commercial building & Transport Infrastructure fit-outs in the Data Communications field.
Joe hold both CNET CDCDP and CNIDP accreditation and regularly updates his accreditation for System Manufacturers design & implementation courses, in order to keep up to date and maintain a thorough understanding of the latest changes in the industry.
