Our Team

Our dedicated Health & Safety department is led by Marc Bailey (Technical Director for Health & Safety, UK & Ireland) and Ketan Mistry (Health & Safety Director EMEA). They have nearly 70 years combined construction experience, including nearly 60 years in Health & Safety. Between them they hold a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational H&S Management, Chartered Membership of IOSH and Fellowship of IIRSM.

DPI’s Health & Safety Culture is ever evolving and ever changing. Systems and procedures drive’ what we do, but all our staff and workers are reminded that, it is our Hearts and Minds which influence our decision-making process. Ultimately, if a planned action does not feel right then we do not do it.

Well-being & Mental Health

Our well-being philosophy is centred around the principles of “Reach Out, Speak Out, Talk About.” At Datalec Precision Installations, we are committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of all our staff. We strive to enhance the mental health environment and culture by identifying, eliminating, and minimising any harmful processes, procedures, and behaviours. We continuously promote good mental health throughout the company by establishing and maintaining processes that support mental health and well-being. Additionally, we have made significant investments in training for Mental Health Awareness and Promotion.

Datalec Precision Installations recognises that a constant, consistent, and committed Health and Safety message is imperative when seeking to enhance an ever-improving culture. To achieve this, we have developed an H&S mission objective and value—“Health is our Mission, Safety is Critical”—to ensure we are also visually promoting our company message.

Positive Engagement

Our constant positive engagement with the workforce is imperative to ensuring that our ‘holistic culture’ is ever-evolving and strengthening as we grow.

Project Teams are encouraged to take any opportunity to engage with each other and their workforce, to identify potential issues, safety/health concerns or matters arising which may affect the workforce. Toolbox talks are used as a platform for constructive engagement and feedback from operatives. The Datalec Precision Installations Safety QR Codes & helmet stickers initiative allows for reporting of near misses, unsafe conditions, general observations or suggestions requiring attention or action. The observations also allow for any potential trends across the business to be identified.
