Job Summary
As part of Datalec Precision Installations, our managed service brand, Technivo, is a leading provider of Technical Cleaning Services, specialising in the data centre sector. As we continue expanding, we seek a skilled and dedicated Operations Manager to join our dynamic team.
As the Operations Manager (Technivo UK), you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and seamless operation of our company. You will oversee various aspects of project coordination, client management, contract management, Health & Safety and compliance. Managing the UK team role requires strong team leadership, people management skills and a proactive and hands-on approach, as well as the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- To Lead and motivate a team of employees, providing guidance, support, and training as needed, and developing others to enable high performance and job satisfaction. Inspire the team to deliver excellent service, meet client and stakeholder expectations, and contribute to business objectives.
- Responsible for people management activities, ensuring appropriate resources to meet the needs of the business and maintaining good employee relations. Provide a smooth onboarding experience, conducting probationary and performance appraisals. Escalating any issues where appropriate to HR.
- Maintain compliance with legislation and company policies by conducting right-to-work checks, reviewing and approving employee timesheets, holiday requests, and expenses.
- Contribute to the wider business objectives by providing solutions and recommendations for continuous improvement, creating efficiencies, driving business results, and aligning with the DPI mission.
- Proactively seek opportunities to grow the business through new connections and territories, acting as an ambassador for our brand.
- Reporting to the Head of Managed Services, use data and insight to provide regular updates and reports, communicate effectively, and identify and mitigate any risks as appropriate.
- Proactively manage multiple projects, managing costs and utilising the team to meet project objectives. Collaborate closely with onsite project managers and clients to ensure the successful execution of all project works. Coordinate project schedules, resource allocation, and task assignments.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with external clients to understand their needs, negotiate contracts, meeting and exceeding expectation, providing the highest level of service and customer satisfaction.
- Act as the key contact at all times (may include out of hours) and point of escalation for our clients and the team to manage expectation, providing regular updates and solutions that address their concerns. Manage operational issues and mitigate impact on delivery.
- Ensure that contracts are fulfilled according to agreed terms and conditions and that all aspects are appropriately managed during the negotiation process through to implementation, upholding our company values, maintaining our integrity, and reputation.
- Ensure comprehensive work conformations are prepared and issued in a timely manner, including detailed Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS), and staff assignments for each project.
- Ensure that teams operate within Health and Safety legislation and company policies to protect employees, and the company reputation. Liaise with the Health & Safety team to manage risks and maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Complete relevant courses and certifications as required.
- Ensure client access management systems are managed appropriately, meeting the requirements and compliance of the client’s system, resolving any issues promptly to facilitate smooth access and minimise and disruption to operations.
- Ensure all travel and accommodation arrangements for domestic and international projects are efficiently planned in a timely manner.
Qualifications: Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a similar operations management role, preferably within the technical services or facilities management sector.
- Experience in leading and managing teams effectively, providing coaching, guidance and support.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations, contract management principles.
- Flexibility to travel throughout the UK and EMEA is required, dependant on the needs of the business, including client and site visits.
Hours of work
Typically 40 hours per week, 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Salary
Competitive Salary, dependent on experience.
