HR and Project Support (FTC)

Location: Batam, Indonesia

Main Purpose of the job

We are seeking a versatile and proactive HR and Project Support professional to join our team for a data centre business in Indonesia. This role will involve managing HR functions and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth execution of our business operations in Indonesia. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Manage HR processes specific to the project lifecycle, including onboarding, contract management, and offboarding.
  • Identify talent, manage the recruitment and selection process to ensure projects are staffed with qualified and capable personnel.
  • Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations.
  • Research, document and share best practice, sharing knowledge with the Global team to support future projects.
  • Create and maintain template documents and processes ensuring they are accurate and compliant with laws and regulations.
  • Provide full HR and administrative support ensuring all documentation is accurate and stored correctly, maintaining file structures and compliance.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with global HR teams to align local HR practices with corporate standards.
  • Support the Executive Vice President, wider regional and global teams with any ad-hoc tasks and administration duties as required to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Support project and compliance teams with any documentation required to ensure all workers are compliant, collating information.
  • Provide administrative support to project managers and team members, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining project documentation.
  • Flexibility to attend meetings outside of normal working hours to support global operations.
  • Represent the business, upholding our core values and behaviours with all internal and external customers, clients and third parties.
  • Maintain business and client confidentiality, adhering to applicable Data Protection regulations and Information Security Standards in line with company, and group policies and procedures.

Qualifications: Skills and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree, Diploma or equivalent in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, preferably in the data centre or technology sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian labour laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluency in English language desired.
  • Ability to work independently and as well as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Confidentiality and discretion.
  • Proficiency in HR software, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint advantageous.
